- Product inquiries and quote requests: your name, email, phone number, your message, and the product you asked about.
- Product reviews and comments: the name, email and text you submit. Your name and review text are shown publicly; your email is not.
- Care guide and email signup: your email address and a record that you ticked the consent box, with the date and time.
- Live chat: the messages you send and any name or email you choose to give in the chat window.
- Phone, email and in-store contact: the information you give us when you call, email or visit, such as measurements, photos of your space and your project details.
- Technical and usage data: your IP address, browser type and device information, and the pages you view. This comes from cookies and similar tools described in section 6.

We use your information only for these purposes, or for others you agree to or that the law permits.
4. Consent
By sending us a form, starting a chat or contacting us, you agree that we may use the information you give us for the purpose you contacted us about. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see section 8). Withdrawing may mean we cannot finish a quote or service.
We send marketing emails only to people who have given express consent, as CASL requires. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and we act on unsubscribe requests within 10 business days.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the website and our business. They may use it only to provide their services to us:

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers or the public.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files saved in your browser. We use:
- Essential cookies: needed for the site to work and stay secure, for example website caching, security, spam protection (reCAPTCHA) and remembering your cookie choice.
- Functional cookies: the live chat (tawk.to) uses cookies or browser storage to keep your conversation open as you move between pages. If you leave a review, you can choose to save your name and email in a cookie for next time.
- Analytics cookies: Google Analytics cookies (such as
_ga) help us count visits and see which pages are useful. Our store software (WooCommerce) may also setsbjs_cookies that record how you arrived at the site (for example from a search engine), for up to about 6 months. Google Analytics cookies are only set if you click “Accept” on our cookie banner. If you choose “Decline non-essential”, Google Analytics runs without cookies and receives only basic, cookieless signals.
We remember your cookie choice for 12 months. To change it, clear this site’s cookies in your browser and the banner will appear again. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the site may not work properly. We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies.
7. How long we keep it
- Inquiries, estimates and chat messages that do not lead to a project: up to 2 years, then deleted.
- Customer and project records (quotes, invoices, installation and warranty details): as long as tax, accounting and warranty needs require, normally up to 7 years.
- Email signup: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
- Analytics data: as set in Google Analytics, no longer than 14 months.
If we use your information to make a decision that directly affects you, we keep it for at least one year, as PIPA requires.
8. Your rights
You can ask us to:
– give you access to the personal information we hold about you and explain how we used it and who we shared it with;
– correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
– withdraw your consent, or unsubscribe from our emails;
– delete your information, unless we must keep it by law.
Email info@pifloor.ca or write to us at the address above. We will reply within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity first. While it is there, it is subject to the laws of that country, and authorities there may be able to access it under those laws.
10. How we protect it
We use reasonable security measures, including an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, spam protection on forms, restricted access to our website admin and email accounts, and service providers with industry-standard security. No website or internet transfer is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
